My Therapy Story By Rob Hagel

Had rotator cuff surgery – arm was really weak, tight and sore.  But after the weeks flew by, and a minor set-back, I am back!  Feel great!

My daughter had Maren and did just as well as I did!

Maren is a great PT and would recommend her, and Big Stone, to anyone needing the service!

Top notch care – thanks again, M!

My Therapy Story By Laura Hagel

My experience here was top notch. Everyone was so welcoming, especially Maren. Being able to have a conversation with someone who would listen was such an amazing thing to have.

On top of that, my therapy has helped me so much! I started off slow and lots of the exercises were hard but when I came every week and did them over and over, I got better and felt like I was getting stronger every week. Running, jumping, and doing lots of strenuous things with my knees were a struggle, but now doing my stretches and exercises, it has helped so much with the pain. I can’t believe how much physical therapy has helped my knees.  I couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you! ~ Laura

My Therapy Story By Amber Herman

When I first started therapy, I didn’t have much strength in my left ankle. I could not walk up and down stairs. I walked with a limp.

Now after 4 weeks of therapy I am confident in everything I do. I was supposed to be in therapy for 8 weeks, but I graduated early in just 4!

I would like to thank all the amazing therapists for your help.

My Therapy Story By Rosamond Peery

I enjoy therapy at St. William’s, with the one and togetherness.

Explained all exercises and activities. Did some things before – picking up things floor, get myself up from floor. Felt better after exercises.

Would recommend it to anyone.

FALLS PREVENTION AWARENESS WEEK September 20—24th, 2021

Falls are the main reason older people lose their independence.

Are you at risk?

Four things you can do to prevent falls:

  1. Begin an exercise program to improve your leg strength and balance.
  2. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to review your medications.
  3. Get annual eye check-ups and update your eyeglasses.
  4. Make your home safer by:
    1. Remove clutter & trip hazards
    1. Put railings on all stairs and add grab bars in the bathroom
    1. Have good lighting, especially on stairs.

Contact your local Big Stone Therapists at St. William’s Living Center Outpatient Therapy Clinic by calling 218-338-1014 for information on exercise, fall prevention programs, and options for improving home safety.

My Therapy Story By Racheal Libby

My accident happened December 2, 2020, but break was not found until two weeks later, even though I started PT for rotator cuff. I saw five different therapists during this time.  Everyone had their own way, but pretty much the same exercises given. I felt I could do more and probably pushed myself but was always told not to overdo because I could do more damage. I enjoyed all my times at Physical Therapy and all the therapists that worked with me.

I recommend St. William’s Outpatient Therapy Clinic!
